Ghost Ranch, New Mexico.
So this is my home Ghost Ranch which I purchased in the 1940's, and it is located sixty miles northwest of Santa Fe.  This photo isn't the best of photos of the ranch but it does show the stunning landscape of the Pietdra Lumbre that I have painted for many years.

Black Place II, Georgia O'Keeffe, 1944, Oil on canvas.
For fourteen years, 1936 - 1949, I worked at Bisti Badlands which was approximately150 miles from Ghost Ranch.  I produced a lot from this period, six oil paintings a large pastel and some drawings.  It was such a desolate and beautiful place, with the black hills and pink strata running through them.

Georgia O'Keeffe, by Michael A. Vaccaro, Chomogenic Print 1960.
I was 73 when Michael took this photo.  I was posed against my earlier Pelvis Series, 1943 - 1947.  This work is called Red and Yellow, I used bold color to make the work look more abstract.
